Noelene Kotschan – Founder, Director and CEO
Noelene has over 30 years´ experience in event management, having assisted in the organisation of small and large conferences, launch functions, road shows and trade forums, both locally and internationally. In addition, Noelene has 10 years´ experience fund raising for CSI initiatives and has become an acknowledged leader in the industry, counting among her clients many of South Africa´s largest blue chip companies.
Ms. Deshnee Naidoo – Chairperson
PinkDrive welcomes their first woman Chairperson to their board, Ms. Deshnee Naidoo, CEO of Vedanta Zinc South Africa. Deshnee has pledged her support to PinkDrive and their fight against breast cancer. Noelene says that PinkDrive is looking forward to this new era and with Deshnee as part of the team. “Deshnee will bring a wealth of insight, experience, passion and drive to the table and we look forward to achieving further new heights together, as we reach deeper and further into the mining sector of South Africa.”
Dr. Ashwin Hurribunce – Deputy Chairperson
Ashwin was born in 1960, lived and attended school in Durban, and received his medical degree from the now N.R. Mandela School of Medicine. He pursued the specialty of Radiology at King Edward VIII and Baragwanath Hospitals, and was a Senior Specialist and Senior Lecturer during tenures at both these institutions. The pinnacle of his medical service career was as Head of Department of Neuro-and Interventional Radiology and Head of Academic Training at the University of Witwatersrand’s Department of Radiology during the 1980’s. During the 1990’s and 2000’s, he served on several Committees and the Faculty Board of these Universities. His continued contribution to the academic health sector serving as a council member of the College of Radiologies, where he was President during the last term of office; as a Senator of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa;and Senior Lecturer in the Radiology Departments of Medical University of South Africa, Pretoria and Witwatersrand Universities.Read More
After a rewarding public service career, in 2006 Ashwin entered the sphere of commercial business, most of which was at the executive level. During the early period of his career, his management and business consulting delivered results in both public and commercial sectors, especially in the areas of optimizing business performance and governance, culminating as an executive coach and mentor. He was, and is a member of the boards of all his companies, as well as a shareholder. His standing in the commercial sector paved the way for two board chairperson appointments of non-profit charitable entities, PinkDrive and Starfish Greathearts Foundation. Currently, his commercial business portfolio and focus comprises mainly venture capital investments, especially business turnaround opportunities. His sole proprietorship of Deftologix sees Ashwin offering his services as a trusted adviser, strategist, executive coach, mentor and facilitator extraordinaire.
Dr Herman Fourie – Director
Dr Herman Fourie is a specialist radiologist with special interest in mammography and Breast Cancer. Dr Fourie has been the senior partner at Netcare Femina Hospital Radiology since 2007, where the main focus was and still is on Women’s health and breast cancer screening.
Dr. Fourie is currently also offering his services in regards to the reporting of the Mammogram examinations for the Pink Drive patients.
Elmien Louw – Director
Elmien LouwElmien was trained as a Computer Programmer and System Analyst with Sanlam and since 1981 had her own business until 1993, in this field. From 1994 she got involved in Financial Services as well as the creation of the Epsilon Group of companies with her husband. She got involved with PinkDrive since the launch of the first Mammo truck in 2009. Elmien is a very strong Financial Controller with high levels of organisational skills.
