Noelene Kotschan – Founder, Director and CEO
Noelene has over 30 years´ experience in event management, having assisted in the organisation of small and large conferences, launch functions, road shows and trade forums, both locally and internationally. In addition, Noelene has 10 years´ experience fund raising for CSI initiatives and has become an acknowledged leader in the industry, counting among her clients many of South Africa´s largest blue chip companies.
Dr Herman Fourie – Director
Dr Herman Fourie is a specialist radiologist with special interest in mammography and Breast Cancer. Dr Fourie has been the senior partner at Netcare Femina Hospital Radiology since 2007, where the main focus was and still is on Women’s health and breast cancer screening.
Dr. Fourie is currently also offering his services in regards to the reporting of the Mammogram examinations for the Pink Drive patients.
Dr. Kamila Padia – Director & Medical Advisor
Dr Kamila Padia Naidoo qualified as a medical doctor from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 1990. She has been the principal specialist at the 2 Military Hospital at Wynberg, Cape Town, since 2003. She has been head of the department since 2010. Amongst her leadership roles, she has been a member of the board of the Health Professions Council, South Africa from 2005 to 2009 and chaired various committee and disciplinary hearings at the Council during that tenure. She serves on the Pinkdrive initiative as a board director and medical advisor.
Elmien Louw – Director
Elmien LouwElmien was trained as a Computer Programmer and System Analyst with Sanlam and since 1981 had her own business until 1993, in this field. From 1994 she got involved in Financial Services as well as the creation of the Epsilon Group of companies with her husband. She got involved with PinkDrive since the launch of the first Mammo truck in 2009. Elmien is a very strong Financial Controller with high levels of organisational skills.
Dr Hans Jekel – Director
Started medical studies as undergraduate student at University of Stellenbosch in 1977, and graduated in 1982 and was awarded the M.B.Ch.B(University of Stellenbosch) Internship in 1983 at Tygerberg Hospital. Spent 1984( January – June ) as medical officer in Dept Obstetrics and Gynaecology Tygerberg Hospital and then commenced millitary training in July 1984.
Medical officer in defence force in Grootfontein , Namibia. Started Post graduate training at Dept Surgery University of Stellenbosch and Tygerberg Hospital in July 1985. Graduated as General Surgeon in June 1990 at University of Stellenbosch and was awarded the degree M.Med Surgery.
Started in private practice as general surgeon at Unitas hospital . Joined dept of Surgery at University of Pretoria and Kalofong hospital in 1992 and appointed Consultant in charge of Head and neck oncologic Surgery at Kalafong hospital. Changed scope of practice to mainly Head and Neck cancer surgery an Breast surgery in 2000. Started Breast clinic at Femina Clinic in 2002 and was appointed Head of breast unit at Kalafong hospital. Since 2010 involved at Multidisciplinary breast unit at Steve Biko Academic hospital as Part time consultant. Chairman of Breast cancer forum in Pretoria.
Dr Coenraad Slabber – Director
BSc, MB BCh, FCP (SA). Dr Slabber is a Medical Oncologist in private practice in Pretoria. He has an interest in breast cancer. Dr Slabber received his training at the Universities of the Witwatersrand and Pretoria. He is a prior chairman of the South African Society of Medical Oncology (SASMO), as weII as the South African Oncology Consortium (SAOC). He was acting head of the Department of Medical Oncology of the University of Pretoria from 2001 – 2004, before moving to private practice at the Mary Potter Oncology Centre. Dr Slabber has an interest in clinical research and is a clinical investigator on a number of ongoing research studies.
